Timber work down the coast
We're based in Seaford and work on projects across the Fleurieu. Victor Harbor, Goolwa, Port Elliot, that stretch of coast is a regular run for us.
Down on the coast the salt gets into everything, and it's the first thing we build around. We pick the timber and the fixings to handle it, because a deck that looks good the day it's finished is the easy part. One that still looks good in ten years takes the right hardwood and the right detail.
Scotty's on every job. One crew, one standard, no subbies on the bits that matter. We keep two to three projects going at a time, so yours gets proper attention rather than being squeezed between ten others.
Decks, pergolas and fencing on the coast
Timber decks. Pool decks, raised decks and low-profile builds in hardwood, set out to make the most of a coastal block and the view. See more on our timber decking page.
Pergolas and verandahs. Flat roof, gabled, louvred or angled battens, built to match the house and give you shade through a warm dry Fleurieu summer. More on the pergolas page.
Fencing and gates. Boundary fences, privacy screens and feature gates in timber, built to stand up to salt air near the water. More on timber fencing.
Not sure what the space wants? That's a good reason to get us down. We'll look at the block, talk through what suits a coastal setting, and quote it honestly.

Victor Harbor, answered honestly
Do you build down on the Fleurieu?
Yes. That stretch of coast is a regular run for us. We cover Victor Harbor, Goolwa, Port Elliot and Middleton, and we travel down for timber work that's worth doing. We're based in Seaford, so we come to you rather than the other way round.
You're based in Seaford, so do you really come to Victor Harbor?
We do. Seaford to Victor Harbor is about eighty kilometres, an easy drive down the coast, and we make the run regularly. We won't pretend we're around the corner, but the distance is no reason to settle for less on a deck or pergola. If you're down on the Fleurieu and after timber work, it's worth a call.
What timber suits a coastal Fleurieu block?
Close to the water at Victor Harbor, Port Elliot or Middleton, salt air is the thing to design around, so we pick hardwood species and fixings that handle it. A little further back from the beach it's more about sun and seasonal movement. We choose the timber for your block, not off a standard list. Our decking timber guide runs through the options.
Do I need council approval?
Victor Harbor sits in the City of Victor Harbor council, and Goolwa falls under Alexandrina. Whether you need development approval comes down to size, height and how close the build is to a boundary. We build to the rules and let you know what applies to your site before we start. There's more detail in our SA council approval guide.
